The Mass. Council is committed to teaching others about problem gambling. In addition to leading workshops and annual conferences (register today!), the Council offers technical assistance and in-service trainings for service providers leading to certificates or national certifications as compulsive gambling counselors.

Training Opportunity -- Supporting Clients’ Recovery in a Post-Treatment Environment-

One question that has surfaced many times over the past few years of moving toward a recovery-oriented system of care is just how do we support a client’s recovery journey. For the most part, that has been left to referring people to 12 Step programs. Yet with the 12 Step Fellowships’ tradition of singleness of purpose, that referral may fall short of what is needed. This session will take a look at recovery support services and the clinician’s role in supporting clients’ recovery journeys.
